Aztec Ocean Resort

Our stay was wonderful! From the time we checked in, we knew we were somewhere special. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and smelled fantastic. The location was exceptional. We will definitely be back!

First time staying here and couldn’t have had a better time. Staying so close to the beach, boardwalk, waterpark, golf, restaurants made the experience so much better. Literally did not move the car one time! The staff was so friendly and were very accommodating. BONUS, the property also has a pool! I mean come on, what more could you ask for? This was a 10/10 would 100% do this again!!!

After staying at the Aztec Ocean Resort in Seaside Heights, I’d say there are definitely some pros and cons to consider. On the positive side, the location is hard to beat you’re literally right on the boardwalk, which makes it incredibly convenient if you’re looking to enjoy the beach, shops, and nightlife. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the room was clean, which is always a top priority. However, the rooms are definitely outdated and not very modern. One quirky detail is that the bathroom sink isn’t actually in the bathroom it’s located outside of it, which feels a bit unusual but manageable. Our particular room had a sliding door that opened directly to the pool, which was a nice bonus for quick access. Overall, if you’re looking for a fun, no-frills stay close to the action and don’t mind an older-style room, this spot works well. It’s not a luxury hotel by any means, but if being right on the boardwalk is your main goal, Aztec Ocean Resort gets the job done.

Their is absolutely nothing wrong with this nostalgic boardwalk hotel. No, its not Hotel LBI, but it's perfect just as it is. The room was updated, the bathroom was very modern, and it was very clean, and the view was amazing. The keys to our room didn't work, so they sent someone to fix it ASAP, and it was great. I would stay here again and loved every aspect of my experience.

We had a great experience with Maryanne, who manages Aztec. When we tried to check in last night, we discovered that I had booked our reservations for the wrong week and since we went through Expedia, we were hit with a large booking fee. Maryanne was very helpful and was able to refund it for us. Love when management is easy to work with! Will definitely rebook when we come back next year!

This is not your typical boardwalk hotel. I am so picky and I thought it was extremely clean and the staff went above and beyond. It's not fancy, bedding is updated and super clean and fresh, as well as towels. Also has nice necessities shampoo conditioner soap ect. Good quality. I never use hotel stuff usually... I loved it. It's basic room, everything is basic the bedding is updated a d nice I was impressed. I am a loyal Hilton hotel gal... so that says alot. I felt it was extremely clean especially beds and bathrooms. I was shocked tbh I absolutely recommend. The pool is cleaned every morning throughly. The staff especially Maryanne is amazing. She went above and beyond. I will be back annually. First time to NJ and the staff sold me on it for family vaca. Boardwalk is out the door literally, and the jersey roll bar and dining is great. The lobster lounge so attached... is amazing, fine dining and worth every penny. So happy the original place I booked was a dump so I left and found the Aztec.

The location is perfect! Activities within immediate walking distance for both adults and kids. Great selection of food and restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly. Room was great and clean. We had a balcony overlooking the pool which was great! Loved the pool area too! The only suggestions would be to update or provide maintenance to the elevator. When coming from upper floors it will not stop at the 1st floor. It goes to the ground floor first. It takes a long time for the elevator door to close. So when you have a cranky baby and you’re waiting for the elevator to arrive then to close and then you don’t even get to the floor you want it feels like forever. Also needs some more stroller friendly entrances and exits with ramps. Despite those few things, I’ll still be back to stay for the next family vacation!

The rooms have authentic woodwork and nice marble in bathroom. Very good heat and air condition. Come here for the aquarium and explore the town. The off season is a good time!
